This is just me remembering some cute things about my kiddies :>

Aymee:
Her first Halloween that she was old enough to do trick-or-treating I dressed her up as a "witch". I sprayed her hair black and put green crap on her face. She looked in the mirror and BAWLED!!!!! Here is a cute pic http://www.woolstonfamily.com/Portals/0/373/creepygirls.jpg
when she was 2-3, we would be listening to music she would say "is this peche mode?" "yes it is" "good"
around the same age Green Day made it's debut. We would be going down the road listening and I'd hear "give myself the creeeeeps" the P and the S very pronounced.
When she was 4 I was working at Media Play. What a fun place! We bought some bright pink hair dye for her to wear on Halloween. She was so happy she could have PINK hair!!! She was so cute! A Tinkerbell with hot pink hair. The next year she was Sleeping Beauty with hot pink hair.
her first grade year was when I was taking physical anthropology. Sometimes she would come to lab with me. There was this one lab where all the different skulls from times past were laid out on tables and we had to determine it's Species. I think it was a practice test. She went around to all the skulls with her paper and pencil, picked them up, looked them over and wrote down her answer. There was even an infant skull. She picked it up, looked it over and asked the professor "is this a baby skull?" She said yes and Aymee was all "cool! I thought it was" and was happy she got the answer correct!
Now, she's happy that I've finally let her dye her hair black. She's been asking since I did my hair when she was about 4.

Michael:
He went to a Depeche Mode concert with me. He had fun too. But he had more fun after the show keeping me awake all night! I was 8 months pregnant dancing around!! It was a blast!
He likes to listen to Covenant, Colony 5, Project Pitchfork, pretty much anything electronic. I went through a phase when I would listen to DeVision, Hand on my Skin constantly. He came into the room, got up on my lap and was singing it with me! I think he was 4 at the time.
He also likes the song Bullet by Covenant. I could hear him singing this in the backseat. It was funny too because he would echo it! "just like you.....like you" and he was flat, so that made it cuter!
About 2 years ago, my red vinyl dress was on the bed. I walked past the my room and saw his sitting on the bed rubbing the dress. Then he gave it a smack!!!! Then he rubbed it again and snacked it a couple more times!!! When he saw me watching this, he laughed a "mwahahahahaha" and ran off.
Another time We Want Revolution by Covenant was playing. During the into he was stomping all over the living room and yelled "KILL YOUR TELEVISION!!!"

Both my kids are goofs. Computer nerds. :>

I'm thankful for the central air, although I may change my mind aboutr that when the bill shows up!
We are supossed to go to Michigan Adventure Wednesday. I'm not sure if we are going to make it. Daniel's skin is still irritated. He's finished the meds he was given and he's still not clear. It tends to flare up more when he gets hot. So going outside is not a good idea. He's going to see if he can get into the doc today.
Since I'm complaining today....I'm sick of reality TV. Get over it already!

Today my baby became a teenager!!!
I'm glad she's not as mature as i was at her age! ugh! I don't think I want to go "there" right now!

It was a nice day. My parents came over with my nephews from TN. We grilled out, Aymee made the menu. We had grilled burgers, fries, mac-n-cheese, macaroni salad and baked beans. Her cake was white confetti cake with chocolate frosting and those candy things, that was also her request.
My mom got her a cute MUDD watch and $15, and a goodie bag from the boys. Daniel's mom sent her $20. We gave her $50-her eyes about fell out of her head! LOL
We also gave her a laptop. Yesterday at Daniel's office they were cleaning out a storage room. They had a bunch of laptops the were throwing out. They told the 4 that were in the office to take what they wanted. So daniel took 2 of the same model and put one together. He bought her a wireless card for it that was not ever $20 then had a $13 rebate! She was jumping up and down! Dad got 3 hugs for that!
It was nice having the boys over. Michael and Hunter played hockey in his bedroom! I thought they were going to come through the ceiling at one point! Later they chased the cat around and tried to make her dance!
We went to the bookstore. Aym bought a book called Dragonology. It looks like a scrapbook. Michael got a level 1 Lego story.
I'm rambling about stupid crap now so I'm going to stop before I bore you further.

A priest wanted to raise money for his church and on being told that there was a fortune in horse racing, decided to purchase one and enter it in the races. However, at the local auction the going price for a horse was so high that he ended up buying a donkey instead. He figured that since he had it, he might as well go ahead and enter it in the races. To his surprise, the donkey came in third. The next day the local paper carried this headline:

PREACHER'S ASS SHOWS

The preacher was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and this time it won. The headline read:

PREACHER'S ASS OUT FRONT

The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the preacher not to enter the donkey in another race. The next day the headline in the paper read:

BISHOP SCRATCHES PREACHER'S ASS

This was too much for the Bishop, so he ordered the priest to get rid of the donkey. The preacher decided to give it to a nun in a nearby convent. The paper headline the next day read:

NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN

The Bishop fainted. He informed the nun she would have to get rid of the donkey, so she sold it to a farmer for ten dollars. The nest day headline read:

NUN SELLS ASS FOR $10.00

This was too much for the Bishop. He ordered the nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild. The next day the headlines read:

NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD AND FREE

The Bishop was buried the next day.

I was a busy bee yesterday. Buzzing all over the house, getting some much neglected things done.

I started out cleaning out the pool and refilling it. It was getting nasty. Mostly because the chlorine tablet ran out. Yuck! Then I had to clean off the pool cover. Some how managed to spray myself with the hose! LOL
Later I felt the urge to clean the garage. I started in one corner and worked my way to the back. I didn't get as much done as I wanted to, but at least it doesn't look trashy! I swept the floor, sprayed it with the hose, then put a few drops of Dawn around to brush the floor with a broom. I put a drop on a spot of grease and as soon as it hit the floor, the grease separated and I could see the floor. Now, only if they had a grease cutter in a spray bottle to clean my stove!

Michael and I made a sign to sell his bike. It's out at the road. He wants it to sell so badly. He gets the $$. He was sitting on the bike holding up the sign LOL

I did lots throughout the day. Until I laid down in bed and fell right to sleep.

Fun and Busy Weekend

Friday went slowly then we decided to find something to do.
First we went to Famous Daves. We ordered the Feast. It was so good. We haven't been there in a long time.
Then we went to see Willy Wonka. I can't wait for it to be released on video. It was fantastic!!! It's been a long time since we've been to a movie on opening night. It was hectic, but exciting. Thankfully we had bought our tix before dinner. The line to buy tix was all the way across the lobby!! There was a chocolate fountain that you could put cookies, pretzels or fruit under the chocolate. The kids thought that was just the best.
After the movie we decided to go to Barnes and Noble so Aym could get her copy of Harry. They had lots of games, magic show and other things. There were hundreds of people, just sitting isles waiting. There was no order to the place. We left at 11:50 and went to Meijers. There was a line-at least. It wasn't very long. So we waited and Aymee was able to get the book she had been waiting and saving for! We got home around 1 and the kids fell into bed.

Saturday, up at 8!! We went out to my parents for the day. My brother, from TN, was up with his boys. He also brought his girlfriend. I was happy to have FINALLY met her. I've only been hearing about her for about a year or more. She was real sweet. I'm glad he found her.
Michael was the only one without a bike. He was bummed. He tried Hunters bike, a 2 wheeler!! He did pretty good. He gets angry quick, but he keeps tying. We bought him a new bike yesterday. He has a hard time getting started. He hurt his nuts last night *sniffles*

Saturday night/Sunday morning, Daniel's allergic reaction worsened to point that his face and throat were swollen. His hands and arms were rashed and they burned incredibly. To the ER we went at 2am. We were there until 5:30. We went to the hospital thats by our house. It's the best hospital I've ever been to. Sure beats Hurley!!!!! LOL The Drs and nurses were kind, compassionate and more than willing to help. I've never encountered that before!! AND, we didn't have to wait to be seen. There wasn't very many people there, so it was very quiet. The RN found us a 24 hour pharmacy so Daniel could get his meds so he could sleep.
Sunday was mostly a sleep and lay around day. Daniel was able to take Michael shopping for a bike. We went to the park to try it out and it ended up a catastrophe!!!!

We had a wonderful weekend. Even Daniel's hospital visit turned out to be good!

I want to see Willy Wonka again!!!! :>

Basically since we've moved back to Michigan.
I always talk about how I miss living in NC. I think what I miss is the life I had when living there.
I was going to school studying something really fun. I had friends, something I don't know about since living in MI.
I felt like I had a life there.
I'm deciding about going back to school. I don't think it will be until fall 2006. I think what I need to do is get a job when school starts to work on our debt reduction. If I can find something that pays decent, and we can STOP being stupid with our $$, we should be out of debt by fall 2006. Then we pay tuition with CASH!!!!!!!!!!
As for schools, we found a 'gem' in our own backyard. We just found out that Grand Valley is VERY inexpensive! $3,000 a semester!! And they have a very good anthropology program.
So, thats my thoughts for the day.

I'll start with today and work my way back.
Today we were FINALLY able to pick up our car. The Bonneville died about 6 weeks ago we had been renting a car since then. Daniel's mom's friend was promoted at work and was getting a company car. So she sold us hers for $700! The only problem was first we had to wait for her to get her new car. That took about 2 weeks. Then she couldn't find the Title. That was another 2 weeks. After all of the run-about of getting ahold of eachother and all that we were finally able to get it! She just took a small down payment and said she would take weekly payments. So instead of paying Enterprise we pay her. Easy and perfect! It's a '94 Cavalier or however it is spelled.

It took forever to get to the Flint area. There was some construction that took us 30 minutes to get through. For some reason, even after all lanes were merged we still kep[t on stopping. rather frustrating. But it's over with now!

Monday we went to Dan's aunt Barbs for the 4th. She lives about a 1/2 mile from the airport so we were able to watch the air show from her back yard. Almost made me wish I had actually made it to the Air Force. Not that I was going to fly or anything, but to be in the environment. Michael liked it. He wasn't happy at first. The F-15 went over first and "blasted" right over the house. All the little kids started bawling and covering his ears. But then later he was happy. Especially after I told him they were soldier jets!!! He said "do they shoot missiles?" we told him they do, then she said "are they going to shoot missiles??" we told him no and he sounded somewhat disappointed! LOL
We drove home in POURING rain. We couldn't see out the windshield. Then the sun came out and glared up the window and then we REALLY couldn't see. Thankfully that didn't last long.
We went to East Grand Rapids to watch fireworks. That was way better than going downtown. It was mostly older people and families, so there wasn't any stupidity and it was 2 minutes away from home! The show was nice and rainy!!!!! But still fun. I enjoyed my holiday!

Sunday was a relaxing day. Went to church and thats about it....i think! Hot Topic was having the take an extra 50% off markdown. I bought her that cute coat with the faux fur collar and......rivets i think they are called. Anyway, it was only $17 and she looks adorable in it!She also bought an Invader Zim shirt with girrr on it and I bought a Bauhaus t.
The kids tried the rock climbing wall again. GOt higher that the last time. Pics at http://www.woolstonfamily.com/ Michael looks like he is way up there. LOL They really like climbing.
DW had raw shrimp BOGO!!! I used 2 lbs in this recipe!

2c raw cauliflower ( I used about 3 1/2c.)
2T vege oil
2T finely diced green bell pepper
4T thinly sliced green onions
1/2 c. salad shrimp ( those are too small for us. I use the biggins!!)
1/4 t minced garlic
3 T soy sauce
3 large eggs beaten ( I used 2)

Grate the cauliflower using the large holes OR use the 'S' blade on your food processor-this works better.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pepper and 3 T of the onion. cook for 1 minute
Add cauliflower, shrimp, ar garlic. Cook, stirring constantly for about 4-5 minutes.
Add the soy sauce and stir.
add the eggs to one corner of the pan (clear a spot in the pan for this.)
when the eggs are soft set, remove from heat and fold in the eggs.
Garnish with remaining onion.

*sigh*
I'm really annoyed right now.
I feel like no one gives even the slightest shit about me and my family.
Every summer my child had a birthday. This year is extra special because she's turning 13.
Guess what? No one can make time to come to a birthday party.
I was happy when we moved back up in Michigan, because Aymee could finally have a birthday party. We really didn't know many people in NC, let alone kids that we enjoyed having around.
Her 9th birthday we planned a bash!!! Invited 7 kids and 11 adults. bought tons of hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and bought a big cake. Only 3 kids were able to come with 5 adults. The others, who were family, couldn't make it because they were going to Chicago to a wedding of a cousin we rarly saw.....
This year is another nightmere. First I said lets have a party with lots of food and decorate and have it at night so the kids will feel somewhat grown up-you know?
Daniel had to be Mr. Fancy and said lets have her invite 5 friends and we will go to Michigan Adventure. Fine, I liked my idea better but ok. Aymee decides she doesn't want to do that any more cuz she doesn't like R any more and she would feel funny not inviting her. So fine, just take DJ. We found out he is at Military camp for the whole summer. Ok, lets take my mom and dad and my brothers 2 kids when they are visiting.
Well, heres what pisses me off. They are too busy with the boys to come out here for her b-day. Greg wants to go camping that week and it would just be too hectic. So, nothing like feeling like we are put on the back burner.
It's like this every year too.

Doesn't matter.......no one cares really. It's just a 13 year olds feelings is all.

Mine too.........I just feel very ignored and lonely lately.

Today was fun. We went to the mall in Grandville which is kind of big and has really nice stores. I wore the usual: black capris, black button up shirt and these cute high heeled sandals that have a bow on top of the foot. I had painted my nails a bright pink. Daniels all "you need some bright pink lipstick to match your nails". So, to the MAC counter I went. There was only one bright pink but it looked good. Then he's all "you need a necklace" So Aymee and I went shopping around. I couldn't find anything. It was all pastel and dressy. Not what I had in mind.
I did find some stuff for aym. She needed stuff way more than I needed a necklace!!! We found a cute skirt thingy....one of those short skirts made out of cotton, with shorts under!!! WOOooOOOO!!! I hate how designers expect us to dress our children like whores! We went to the junior dept and they had the same skirt with no short under it and way shorter!!! I don't think I would wear my skirt THAT short!!! Just getting old I guess. Anyway, the skirt was only $10
But we also got her a pair of cotton capris for $8!!
She bought with her own $$ a pair of Airwalks with skulls on them. They are so cute and so NOT my size!!! AAAARRRGGGHHHHH!!! She's got huge feet! But she got those a Payless for 15$
